Title: Re: NOISEY TAPPETS Post by: Thotos on November 20, 2015, 12:19:44 PM You need a special tool to compress the shim buckets; you need a micrometre to read the shim size as most likely the writing would have been rubbed off by now and you need a selection of shims to put back in the correct size. If you haven't got any of those you'd be better off taking the car to a specialist garage that will have the tools and shims and knowhow.
