Looks like a typical scrapyard picture from 1991. I remember in 1990, going to some of the scrap yards along the North Wales Coast looking for a boot carpet for my Sport

. The point is that I can remember them being full of Mirafiori's

; of which 95% were S2 Super's and CL's.
The question is why were there so many scrapped

, whereas Cortina's and Escorts of the same era, seem to be kept on the road

. Was it that the Fiat rusted more, was potentially more expensive to fix and its resale value was not as much. Probably a combination of all 3. Shame

Just look at the Brown Super (9 Years old at the time) and surrounded by much older vehicles

. They never looked nice in Brown and it was never a popular colour for them.
