3ma10 - Loßburg

From  14th to 17th May 2010, the Black Forest was the centre of the automobile world, at least for a small confraternity of Fiat enthusiasts. Loßburg was the scene of the annual international meeting of Fiat 131 Mirafiori owners. This event in Germany was the fourth 3ma meeting with participants from Germany, England, Ireland, Finland, the Netherlands and Switzerland. There was a total of 20 131 Mirafioris attending 3ma10 which is a new record. The longest journey undertaken to arrive at Loßburg was 1600 kilometres and the shortest just 16 kilometres.

For the first time in 3ma history, 2010 saw us receive a civic reception

from the town of Loßburg. Our cars were allowed to park outside the city's town hall where Karin Armbruster, the Tourist association manager, welcomed all the participants and visiting town guests with a speech and a specially written poem, which Rene Knauber, the organizer of the 3ma in Germany, translated simultaneously. Afterwards, the drivers proudly presented their cars and themselves to the many cameras.

The various 131 models were well represented with comfortable four door limousines, functional estate cars, fast two door “Sport” or “Racing” models and genuinely wild rally cars and replicas based on the Group 4 triple world rally championship winning cars.

The 4 day programme of 3ma10 included visits to many points of interest in the Black Forest. Daytrips high up the Feldberg and Schauinsland mountains, via the Schwarzwaldhochstrasse to Titisee and the vehicle museum in Marxell, the Stein car collection  in Schramberg, the brewery and Schinkenräucherei Pfau in Alpirsbach were also visited. The Schluchsee also fascinated the participants. The starting point and return destination was always Loßburg, with the friendly team at Hotel Traube, offering a comfortable and enjoyable setting for the group. Here the attendees have been looked after very well in the culinary department and could relax socially for long hours with good German beer and conversation. This sociable aspect is characteristic for the success of the 3ma meetings. One comes as a 131 driver and leaves as a friend. So in May 2011 many friends and new 131 drivers will meet again when England is expected to be the host country. Gentlemen, start your engines!
