Has any one got the plate that goes between the engine and gearbox on a 2 litre twin cam 131 or 132 will suit

I am not quite sure what you mean by this "backing plate"-  a picture or a drawing would help.

Hello Miro its the piece of metal that goes between the back of the engine block and the front of the gearbox to stop dirt and water getting into the clutch

Thanks Enzo,

 There is always something one learns here.

As I am not a mechanic and  I was not even aware such a plate existed.

Always thought the "bell" of the gearbox was mounted directly onto the block.

Well now I know.

Nick, I think the one above is for a mk1 as the starter motor recess is the other way and werent the starters on the other side on mk1 ?
