you'll need to make small mods on both to fit to mk2

hole for top strut mount (1 in the pic) is smaler on mk2 and mk3 cars than on mk1.
there's two small holes in mk3 (n'2 in the pic) that youir car doesn't need.

there's also some other small diferences.
basically, you'd need to fabricate some kind of adapter plate and weld it in precisely right spot on mk1 inner wing. or you could use the section from your old inner wing if it's not rusted away...

Does this need to have a standard top mount?   If not why not cut it away and use the S1 top mounting rubber, or even a new spherical bear mount like L/Toad.

Would I be right in thinking the flange is to locate the top spring mount bearing, looks like a fat washer, on the underside of the wing?

fabricating a solution for this is certanly no problem for you Roger, or for that matter even for me. guys used to finding solutions and making necesary parts themselves wouldn't consider this to be a problem.
but just for a moment try to put yourself into position of someone who has bought a 131 because he likes it and knows next to nothing about cars. you have taken your car to your average panel beater who has informed you that you need to bring him both new inner wings. he doesn't know or doesn't care to know that there's diferent parts for mk1, mk2 and mk3 and doesn't know how to solve the issue or want to waste time finding solutions.

Yes I get your point now,

I suppose I've not thought of taking the cars to a garage because being from the trade I know what rubbish can be produced from your average mechanic, I'd forgotten that.   I suppose I was thinking you all did for each other around the country. Sorry chaps I was just trying to see if the other wing could be made the same.
I've had to adapt various bits from across the range for my 131's in the past, but that's old car ownership.  Grin Grin Wink.

  Catch you later
