Like the old gunslinger adage that there is always someone faster, there might be cars with lower mileages out there but these two must qualify for some recognition as very underused cars! Both cars came up for sale on Ebay over the last 2 years and of course the mileage numbers are purely provided by the sellers, but the visual conditions of the cars seem to indicate very little use.

The first one, a 1300 CL with a claimed 2200 kms sold in Germany I think for about ?2000, and several months later appeared for sale again on a German car website minus it's engine! I wonder what desirable Fiat used the same engine that merited the drastic step of splitting the car up! Any ideas?

Here are some images saved from Ebay..

Notice the interesting bit in the bottom left of the photo!? Wink

The second car is claimed to have driven ever fewer miles from new - Just 23! It was an American version that apparently was never registered. I seem to remember that it sold twice on Ebay USA but I cant remember for how much! If memory serves correctly it was stored in a Fiat dealers garage for most of it's life. The engine area seems very dusty but I guess this would happen over a long time.

Does anyone know of any similarly preserved 131s? As the reach of the Internet spreads, more and more secrets are being unearthed.? Cheesy

I know this is an old post but this car has been for sale near my friend for a decade. It has low miles, reletivly speaking, and is in great shape. I saw the car when I drove my Ford Pinto cross country  last year. It might be one of the lowest in the US.

Hi Pintopower

Thanks for posting details of this car - Looks in lovely condition although I'd suggest that the blue dash/steering wheel and check upholstery (never available in Europe) is of questionable taste.  Wink

The blue interior wasnt availible in Europe? Or the check upholstry? 3 of the ones I know of have  blue interiors. For a while, I though thats all that was availible.

From the advert it looks as though the blue Brava has covered 48,000 miles, which is high Grin Grin As is the price by European standards Shocked

My 1982 (Series 3) 1600 CL Automatic only has 47,300 miles Grin

My green 4 door 1600 Special (Series 1) has a little over 19,000 miles, but unfortunately the body is well beyond saving Cry The engine is sweet though Grin

My orange 4 door 1600 Special (Series 1) has a little over 15,000 miles on the clock now - documented! Cool I brought the car back in 2000 from the guy who purchased it new from a dealer in Newport, Gwent. It's a time warp machine and has spent it's whole life in a garage Grin

I haven't a clue what mileage my Racing and Abarth are on.? Undecided The speedos are in kilometres and have probably been round a couple of times at least!! Embarrassed

Well, I can tell you that the engine in your Racing is on about 155,000 miles! So is the fuel tank but the windscreen is on a much lower mileage, about 10,000 I'd say!  Grin Grin Grin

My first 131 (a 1600CL Mk 3) had done about 78,000 miles from new with one owner. I felt lucky to get one with such low mileage! Next came a Mk 2 Supermirafiori with 48,000 miles, (wow what a low mileage) and then another with 38,000 (amazing even lower) and most recently the 18,000 mile car (do I have the lowest mileage 131 in existance?) Obviously not! I'm going in the right direction though, I dream of finding one in a garage near me, but the all appear to be a long way away.
