Rarer than you may think!

1983 Triumph TR8 Del Lines
This is a very rare car in that Del Lines only built 33 Triumph TR8?s from new factory shells. From the TR register we know this car was built and completed by Del Lines in August 1981 and subsequently registered TUK 705Y. Specification wise it left Del Lines of Atlantic garage as a coupe with V8 Rover SD1 engine, 5 speed gearbox and finished in red with black vinyl roof and grey leather interior. According to correspondence in the history file this TR8 came off the line with a blue printed engine which gives 153bhp at the wheels whilst the standard engine produced 135bhp. We are told this car was produced as a road rally recce car and was not used or registered for two years until 1983.

Steve

It looks absolutely great  Smiley. Fantastic find  Smiley Smiley.

Being on a 'Y Plate' it must be one of the very last TR's. A bit like 131 Sports. I have only ever seen one and that was at the classic car show at the NEC in 2005.

Enjoy it.
