I think the saying goes "If you have to ask, you can't afford it!" Shocked

All of the hotel costs are published on the 3MA pages marked 'Accommodation'. Fuel depends on car and distance from event and then there's cash to spend. It's all subjective as some do it on a budget whereas I count the cost in the following month's bank statement  Grin

I can tell you it's a lot cheaper than going to the Eurovision Song Contest  Grin Grin

The original as well as subsequent 3ma organisers are well aware that the cost of attending a 3ma meeting should be kept as low as possible. If we were rich most of us would be driving different cars to 30-plus year old Fiats. So hotel deals are squeezed as low as possible and the deal normally includes dinner as well as bed and breakfast so making a large chunk of the cost fixed and known in advance. This year at ?300 per person for 5 nights of dinner bed and breakfast I think was excellent value for money. But the biggest cost can be fuel as it was for me this year. It all depends on how far you need to travel to attend the 3ma of course and that's why we have them in different countries every year. But we had it twice in the UK and both times we had more people attending from abroad than the UK. And even though we decided at the beginning that the 3ma should be over 4 days to make it worthwhile for people to travel long distances to attend, there's no requirement to attend all four days. So someone could attend a local 3ma meeting for just one or two days making the cost even less.

Having attended all 3ma meetings, I wouldn't miss it for anything and I'd beg or borrow (but not steal  Grin) to make sure I attend all future ones as well; as long as they don't clash with the Eurovision Song Contest of course....  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin
