HELP,
I'm looking for an extension to upgrade my Spider to the ZF designed gear box. Abarth marked or not, just the extension to save postage (and I have the trans from a '78 sedan, last year imported into the states)!
Also, this means the rear axels/gears are the next domino to fail, right? So then what?

Still looking, any help appreciated.
Old trans is out, floors being fixed, need to move before spring breaks here!
Also, any leads to a set of diesel (3.42 I think) gears?
Would make my Spider much more freeway friendly for those summer DD!

I've recently picked up a rearend from an Argenta, with 12/41 ratio (3.42), it will drop my highway engine revs considerably, but it certainly won't get off the line like it currently does with a 10/41 rear.

Hello,
Yes that's the setup I'm looking for.
Would go into a spider, lighter car, lighter still when I take off the double pipe bumpers, not racing or anything like that. Just a cruiser.
Besides, that is why we have manual trans, drop a gear and go, lol.
Interested in selling it? I'll start the bid @ $200, shipped, eh?
I know shipping is going to be expensive, that's the price you pay for something never imported into the states.
Truthfully, I think I would only need the center carrier with the gears, I think my axels are the heavier size already since it is the later '80 FI car. That would save some weight, packaging, etc..
Any further thoughts, help, would be appreciated.
Thanks
Keruth

Send Emanuelle an Email info@ricambistorici.com or ricambistorici@gmail.com, not sure which one is current. He can probably source the CW&P you're after.

I've emailed him before, no real response except to look around.
Thanks, I'll try again anyway.
