Hi ,need some information on the stradale kit.With the boot and bonnet,how rigid are those panels.Are they just a skin or do you have to use original frame ( and do they come in orange).Don't worry Sid 131 (Nick),this is for a friends 131 not MF 131 Cheers Gary

I do not use any strenghtenings in my rally car except one double angled (double L shaped) "stripe" on all length of the rear quarter panel and see no point of using it as once the parts are installed properly it makes a solid structure. You can use sew strenghtenings as abarth cars had if you are not going to use roll cage in that car. If is in my opinion more durable then steel panel as i never had any crack in rear section of the rear quarter panel and i often hit the snow banks when making winter driving.

Gary you had me going there with those first few lines, i used to make funeral cars hearses with fibreglass body & they are bonded on with a product called "Teroson 9220" this will bond the fibreglass panels to the 131 no worries & you wont shift it when i goes off.

Rice & Roddy Renault dealer motor factor section in Dundalk has it, there is a Dinitrol equivalent but not near as good. its around 20 euro a tube, try on line Enda.

This is the stuff they use to hang those nice shiny panels to the outside of buildings, totally replaces the mechanical fasteners and is impossible to shift once in place.

Hi Steve they tried this product also & it wasnt a success , they dont use either now go for a 2 pack system but it goes too hard for my liking, time will tell, but take my word the 9220 is the best!

I watched a programme on History Channel all about the 3M VHB tape.
Surely they wouldnt make it out to be better than it was! Wink

From what i remember Steve it has to be stored in a controlled environment the damp fkd it, & Byrnes & Duffys were damp & cold auld places full of rats both 4 legged & 2 legged lol!

Hello Gary

Below are a couple of photos of the bonnet and boot framing.  Unfortuantely they are not very clear, but will give you the basic idea.  The bonnet has a frame similar to the factory metal frame and the boot has a very basic structure.  I cannot tell you how (rigid) they perform under driving conditions.  But one day I will answer that question!
