Im contemplating fitting an 'OMEX 200' electronic ignition system.
has anyone done this before on a 2ltr 8V TC with a pair 45's?
Will i be waisting my money on what is esentialy a road car?
Let me know your thoughts.

What sort of dollars are you going to have to throw at it to have it running in the car? I've got a cam mounted electronic dizzie in mine with a Crane hi6 firing a Bosch HEC723 coil, all up about $200 Aust. Heaps of spark and no issues, although I'd like to play around a bit with a programmable ECU to get the best out of the different characteristics of LPG!

I have fitted this 200 system to a number of rally cars
with various types of engines mostly red top vauxhalls and pintos.
the main advantage is you get better reliability and a slightly better ignition map
if and only if the installation is done correctly.

But don't expect a performance gain over the standard system
which if maintained correctly is a very good system.
as for lumination etc they are less reliable than the standard system this i have proved in competition.

How does the price of the Omex system compare with the megajolt?
