It's reasonably safe to assume that anyone reading this forum has at least a passing interest in Mirafioris and therefore has an ideal version in their mind (mine's a Black 131 Sport)...but what about the unloved versions?

This picture of a basic series 1 is the least attractive version in my eyes (yes it's below a Panorama Si? ?Grin ) and this one looks very tired indeed.

Can anyone better (or should I say worsen?) that?

It looks so sad - I WANT IT!!! I love it - I really do!!!

Wasn't it for sale a while back in France, Kev? I seems to remember thinking when I first saw it that I wanted it - and I still do. I hope someone loves it now!

As for the least attractive - I disagree. I think the green effort with the yukkie spoiler that Theo managed to dig up on a different thread wins that award!!

I love the Series 1, from basic to Abarth, and I love the Series 2. Oh, and the Series 3 (facelift). As the man said (I love) "all of the colours in all of the sizes". As long as no one has messed with it. I'll only ever consider original spec cars with standard everything!

I too think that the sad looking Series 1 car above looks like it's begging to be saved and I'd love to save it and have it. A bit of spit and polish and a new pair of headlamps and it will look raring to go and please its master  Cheesy

Yes that is a very sad looking 131  Cry
It belongs to James Seabolt (member jseabolt http://131mirafiori.com/smf/index.php?action=profile;u=11 on this forum) from the USA. It is his 'parts' car and probably still has lots of useful parts (other than body panels!).

Here's one from Iran. The photo was taken while the car was parked as it was obviously still in regular use. Doesn't look too bad from the front but those wheel trims ...  Sad

That just looks like my very first 131,same dent same side ,same car nearly.
On the way to watch a drag racing meeting (which got canceled ,found out later)
screeming down main country road on lovely sweeping bends, got to the last one and nudged the grass verge, spun me round to the oppersite side ditch, doing 50 mph backwards in the ditch and into a tree, missed all on coming traffic ,which stopped, towed me out and i drove home, with my mate and me un scatched.
17 and all the joys of motoring. Grin

As this thread seems to be taking a lean towards crashed (and therefore also sad) 131s here is my contribution. The contributor had just bought the car and done a lot of mechanical work before the third party turned right in front of the Fiat.

This seems to be the right time for Wayne to post some pictures of his Black 131 Sport together with a? repair status update.

Theo, you really need to qualify your statement above by saying it's "one of my cars"!

In any case, most of it lives on - in my Racing!! Grin Grin The engine, the interior, the windscreen, the fuel tank and filler assembly......

I've scrapped cars in better condition than that! Shocked

Wonderful paint job (NOT!) - and I love the rear lights...all one colour!

Poor car indeed!  Cry No 131 should end up like this.

For some reason Fiat 131s are popular cars for scrap racing in Finland- There seems to be one or two in this condition perennially available for sale on nettiauto.com.

How about this for a sad 131 (Brava)?. What looks like a perfectly salvagable 2 door body shell being cut in two. Maybe the heading of this thread should change to 131 Horror show!? Cry
