Here is one job done at least...!  Wink

... well - ALMOST done  Wink
As (at least yet) there are no drunken and fallen belgians around (no offence meant) it should look a bit more like this:

Nethertheless thanks for your effort. I'm working on making it more precisely than Black Forest.

@Steve: Congrats for that clean example. But before you get it demolished we should be able to organize something italian  Cheesy (worst case at the moment: '93 Tipo 1.6 i.e. SX  Grin)

Looking forward to meet you all,
cheers,

OK 3MA (Theo. Kev. Simon.) some question's that i need to ask, maybe ill get  answer's maybe not.
As you know my car is in Spain and im trying my hardest to get it to 3MA10.
I will have to leave 3MA10 on the Monday as i have to get back to Doha for the Wednesday, so i am looking for a suitable airport.
I have options of taking the car back to the UK after 3MA or back to Spain or leave it with some one in storage for a month or so.
If i knew where 3MA11 was to be it would make my descision easier.
Its too far to drive back to Spain in time for flying back to work (2013km) and my base in the UK is 1326km, again to far to travel in a day and a half, which is the time i will have to catch a flight here in time for work.
I have no posibility of extending my leave as my current employer is not at all flexible with dates.

Q1) So any ideas 3MA11?
Perhaps a discusion thread! (Nederland would do me or  Wales or  Ireland)
Q2) Who in the forum lives nearest Gatwick/Heathrow?
I may need to park the car up and fly to Doha and pick her up a month later.

Of course the car isnt running yet but i do need to plan just incase.
Steve

Here's a quick reply:

A1: NO IDEA. But I can say it won't be Ireland (done that, been there got the T-shirt and all that) and unlikely to be Wales as we've done the UK. Netherlands might be a good place or Belgium or France or how about you organise it in Spain?

A2: UK Southeast (active) members are me, Simon, Andy, Graham, Jason (the 'Famous Five') but I think Simon is the closest to Gatwick with Andy a close second.

Hi Steve,

To be honest 3MA11 hasn't been discussed between us at all yet, although I did make a halfhearted suggestion that could be England. Let's get 3MA10 out of the way first. Grin

We don't usually discuss such things until we're actually participating in a 3MA, i.e. we discussed 08 at 07 and discussed 09 at 08 - I'm sure you get the picture.

I live pretty close to Heathrow (about half an hour) and Theo lives a little further away (about 45 mins) so either of us are pretty close.  Wink Gatwick is about 50 mins for me - probably similar for Andy in Eastbourne.

Cheers for now

Simon

OK im going to gamble on 3MA11 being in Northern Europe so ill have to take the car back to the UK 3MA10.
As for organising the 3MA11 in Spain!
Yes i would love to, and im confident i could do an excellent job (with some help), plenty of beautifull roads here and places to go and see, even local car clubs would be interested, however its just not practicable, ive driven UK to Spain several times now on bikes and cars and the journey time is just to long, just as long for those from Holland/Germany/Italy etc even if you get the ferry Portsmouth to Santander you spend 2 and a half days  on a boat, and if your on a driving holiday who would want to do that.
For my 2 penneth worth i think England, combined with some car show somewhere for 3MA11, lets leave Spain until some other time, maybe 3MA12 (the european tour and visit as many countries as possible in a week!) Roll Eyes
See you at 3MA10 Wink Hopefully!
Steve
PS: migth be looking for a month or so's storage May 2010 in the South East.

As I said Steve, lets get 3MA10 out of the way before we decide on 3MA11 Wink Grin

I'm sure I could accommodate another 131 at home for a while in May 10 if you like, as long as you don't mind it not being stored a heated, colour coded garage for a month! Wink Cheesy Cheesy But I'm afraid cars with the blue oval badge will have to use the long stay car park at the airport - any airport! Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

You can count me in as well Wink.It is just 7months away from now Grin.Really looking forward to it.Eugene

Good to hear that Eugene. Have you had any thoughts on your route to the Black Forest? I suppose your main choices are (1) long ferry crossing to France and a long drive from there west to the Black forest or (2) short ferry crossing to the UK, long drive across the UK to Dover for short crossing to France and short(er) drive to the Black forest.
I haven't planned what route yet Theo.It will be all down to price. The Cork/Swansea ferry starts next March 2010 and now that the Waterford bypass has opened, which will take 20/25minutes of the journey to Rosslare ferry port.Should the Euro climb above sterling next year, then i will consider that option. There is also a ferry from Cork/Roscoff/France which is only an hours drive away from my home to Cork.So theres many routes&options. After 3ma2010,i plan to drive on east to Ukraine for the summer.
Regarding 3ma2011,next year Scotland is to vote on wheather they want to be part of Uk or not,so if the result is that want to become an independent state, then 3ma2011 could be held in England.I did hear a mention that that 3ma2011 was going to be in Holland(Hi Albert/Ela).Wherever it will be,if i am alive i will be there Grin Wink.Eugene
