Remove wheel elecronics

Hi guys!

Can anyone help me how to remove wheel electronics from wheel?I mean how to disassemble it. I can't find similar topic, thanks.

What do you mean by wheel electronics? The only thing I can think of is the pad wear sensors?

I mean steering wheel that there is an electronics on the wheel:
indicator/wiper stalks and other.

I want to take it out from the wheel, how i can disassemble the steering wheel?

Ahh, I see. Remove steering wheel centre and undo big nut (24mm I think).

Remove steering wheel.

Remove column shroud by undoing screws from underneath.

Disconnect wires by pulling apart multi-plugs.

Undo the clamp screw then remove the switches by pulling them off the column towards you.

I have a problem with removing the steering wheel, I have undone the big nut, and I can't remove the wheel - it's stuck. trying to rotate it, pull-nothing happens. What should I do?Pull or rotate?

Try spraying some releasing fluid on and leaving it overnight. If it is really tight you might need a puller on it.

i have removed a stuck steering wheel by running the nut back on by hand & then placing the correct sized socket
over the nut and hitting it a few times with a hammer, the shock vibration sometimes loosen's the wheel ,
if not use a pullers as suggested by mirafioriman

Once you have left it over night with the releasing fluid,

Put the nut back on the just enough to bring the thread to the top

Set the seat back just a bit further than you sit with your arms outstretched.

Put your feet on the bulkhead behind the pedals

Grab the wheel with straight arms.

Push as hard as you can with your feet and at the same time heave your arms back and fourth with your shoulders, not your arm muscles, keep you arms straight.    

This will make the wheel flex and come off

Now you'l see why we put the nut back

It stops you getting hit in the face with the wheel.

If this doesn't work get bigger muscles

Maybe you'll need to hit in side of the sterring wheel once or twice to make it get loose..

I didn't see this mentioned. Instead of pulling forward on the wheel, try pulling on the wheel at the 9 o'clock position while pushing in at the 3 o'clock position then reverse. Do this about 3 or 4 times and the wheel will pop right off. I would advise leaving the nut on just enough so the wheel doesn't fly back and hit you in the face.

I keep hearing this crunching/rubbing sound as I turn the wheel. Didn't seem to hear it with the original steering wheel. I'm using a 124 Spider hub adapter and fake MOMO steering wheel I found off Ebay.

I decided to pull the steering wheel and hub adapter once again to see where the noise is coming from. Still can't figure it out. The horn tabs are well greased which has caused a scraping sound in the past on my 124 Spider.

So I took a how-to video while was at it. The first attempt failed because the nut wasn't loose enough. So I loosened the nut several more turns. Pops right off.
