Looks like it's had a lot of preparation work before the paint started to go on. I'm sure it's going to be really straight when painted.

Shows how much work these fibreglass parts can need to make them right!

bad news,
the result comes out of the paint booth the heat deforms the bonnet!  Embarrassed
so we know that heat deforms glass fibre.

The bonnet is made from polyester resin which will deform with heat.  That is why it has slumped.
If you put it back in the heated booth with a flat support under that part of the bonnet, you can bend it back into shape.  Try using a small plywood support stood on a wooden block to hold the bonnet up at this point.
Be careful not to try local heating.  You run the risk of melting the paint.
The whole bonnet needs to be allowed to cool while it is still supported.

Good luck

How high did you heat the bonnet? I have never seen this before and i did paint some of these bonnets before. Once i tried to bend a bootlid directly with a flame...didn't give an inch Shocked

Hi All.
Back again well Dave i had no choice as the Bonnet was starting to crack along the rise in the Bulge so the
Fiber glass was the only answer i also have a spare Bonnet with the same Problem which i am about to fix.
